Critically Loved
Critically Loved is a nonprofit providing hope and guidance to families of chronically and critically ill children. Founded in 2015 by our Executive Director, TyiaLynn, whose daughter is diagnosed with life threatening internal bleeding, the need for special needs families to receive support became very evident as she struggled to manage her daughter’s health. By partnering with 72 pediatric health providers and other nonprofits, Critically Loved helps families navigate a difficult road.
We provide support:
PRACTICALLY- With guidance relating to school, medical bills, and health insurance
EMOTIONALLY – Meeting one-on-one with parents, with professional counseling, and at events to help connect families to one another
SPIRITUALLY – By offering group support at local churches and via zoom
Critically Loved also has a focus in child abuse prevention and Inclusion Education where typical children learn to appreciate differences among their special needs peers.
Since families we serve are already overwhelmed with medical bills and time off work to care for their child, we never charge families for any of our services. So, we rely 100% on donations to exist.
In 2024 alone, Critically Loved served 1,793 families and we help provide Inclusion Education to an additional 15,902 students!
