The bible is not a book full of exceptions but a collection of powerful stories showing how God works among people. Christ at Work is the modern version of this telling. They tell stories of Christ at work in people’s lives, businesses, and organizations. These companies are not the exception, but rather companies filled with people that show us how Christ works in the workplace. Christ at Work seeks to help connect people to ideas, opportunities, and resources needed to empower them in living out their calling in the workplace.
One of the amazing things about the Bible is that many of the stories are workplace stories. Daniel and the lions den was a government workplace; Nehemiah, a construction site, even the story of David and Bathsheba starts with “In the spring, at the time when kings go off to war…David remained in Jerusalem” (2 Samuel 11:1). That was a workplace problem. David was supposed to go to work but stayed at home. The care companies have for employees must go beyond their walls. Care for employees on the road, in the hotel room, in their houses, their apartments, wherever they are.
We are so glad to partner with Christ at Work. The Bible says that we are overcomers and that we will overcome by the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony. Note: Being divinely inspired, the bible is much more than just a collection of stories, but it would be easy to say, “That was Moses or Elijah, I could never do that” but the truth is that the Bible says Elijah was a man just like us (James 5:17). Christ at Work shows all businesses that God is at work today in people’s lives just like He was back then. Christ at Work is showing us that He is at work in Fortune 500 companies and companies just starting this journey.
